Baristas (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates baristasgame.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.

Information We Collect

When you join our mailing list or sign up to be a playtester, we collect:

• Your email address.

• Your first name.

• Your last name, if you choose to provide it.

• Your selection to receive mailing list updates, playtesting communications, or both.

Providing your last name is optional.

Our website is hosted on Wix, which also handles our signup forms and stores the information submitted through them.

How We Use Your Information

We use your signup information only to communicate with you about what you signed up for:

• Mailing list: News and updates about the progress of Baristas.

• Playtesting: Playtesting oportunities, instructions, and related communications.

We do not subscribe you to mailing list updates solely because you signed up for playtesting, nor to playtesting communications solely because you joined the mailing list.

Advertising and Sharing

We do not display advertisements on our website. We do not sell or rent your personal information or share it with other businesses for their own marketing.

Wix processes signup information on our behalf to provide website hosting, forms, and related services. Wix and its service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence. For information about Wix’s handling of personal information, see the Wix Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or a valid legal request.

Cookies and Technical Information

Our website uses essential cookies provided by Wix to support security, stability, and core website functions. We may use cookies for analytics.

Essential cookies remain on your device only for their applicable duration or until you delete them. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may affect how the website functions.

Wix may process technical information, such as your IP address and browser or device details, as necessary to operate and secure the website. For more information, see the Wix Privacy Policy.

Information Retention

We retain the signup information necessary for the purposes described in this policy until you request its deletion, unless applicable law requires earlier deletion or a longer retention period.

Unsubscribing stops the relevant emails but does not automatically delete your signup information. To request deletion, contact baristasgame@gmail.com.

Technical information and cookies processed by Wix are subject to Wix’s applicable retention practices and settings.

Your Choices and Rights

You can stop receiving mailing list emails, playtesting emails, or both at any time by contacting baristasgame@gmail.com or using an unsubscribe link where provided.

You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including the right to withdraw consent, restrict or object to certain processing, receive a portable copy of your information, or complain to your local data protection authority. We will respond to requests as required by applicable law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post any updated policy on this page and revise the effective date.
